3 weeks

Well Addie is three weeks old today. We had another appointment with the lactation nurse for a weight check. She was 8lbs. 4 oz. today. She had gained 4 oz in the last week. Michelle (the lactation nurse) has determined that Addie is one in a million. She can not figure her out. Addie just wants what she wants when she wants it and does not like anyone trying to get her to do it on their timetable. She would fuss anytime Michelle would come near her today during our session...we still need to supplement for now...she is still not back at her birth weight...but we do not have to visit Michelle anymore unless her weight goes down. Michelle thinks she will eventually get serious about eating...She would just rather sleep than eat. It must run in the family because Bruce was the same way. Some parents pray for their newborns to sleep and we pray for ours to wake up and eat.
